Expanding the Page Six brand, Page Six Style is a new website that will focus on the latest fashions, trends, do’s and don’ts in the world of Hollywood. I had the privilege of creating the logo and working closely with creative director, Jan-Jan Tayson, to develop the identity, home and interior pages for the Page Six Style website.
We wanted the logo to remain in line with the sophistication and style of Vanity Fair and GQ, but also possess a simple, iconic element that would spearhead the Page Six Style brand. With this knowledge, I focused solely on serif fonts and began tweaking and manipulating letters until the desired look was reached.
Once the logo was approved, we began working off of our Page Six site grid to develop new widgets and sections that would appeal to both users and content creators. The overall design includes a focus on celebrity fashion imagery mixed with clean, delicate lines to exhibit elegance and angular lines to create some contrast. The typography used remains consistent with the serif logo and we developed matching ads to keep branded colors and fluidity throughout the site design.
